I'm Alex Baker - a Toronto-based artist and photographer who has spent years turning spray cans and stencils into something I hope feels both raw and precise.

Positively Negative Art started as a play on the stencil medium itself - a stencil is literally a negative space that creates a positive shape, which means the positive wouldn't exist without the negative... and that tension is what I'm going for: the graphic versus the organic, the controlled versus the chaotic, the pop culture versus the street.

I've sold my work at Fan Expo and comic cons across Canada, as well as art and decor conventions. My canvases and prints have ended up on walls across Canada, the US, and beyond, which is incredibly cool.

World of Street Art is the other half of what I do - documenting the best street art I've found across Barcelona, Berlin, London, Amsterdam, Tel Aviv, Reykjavik, Toronto, Dublin, New York, San Francisco, and more. If it's on a wall somewhere and it stopped me in my tracks, I photographed it.
